Byron Buffington
Byron A. Buffington (November 27, 1852 – October 1, 1929) was an American businessman and politician.
Born in Dodge Center (now Juneau),〔Dodge Center was the original name of Juneau, Wisconsin when the community was first platted. The name was change to Juneau in honor of Solomon Juneau-'The History of Dodge County, Wisconsin,' Western Historical Company, Chicago, Illinois: 1880, pg. 324〕 Dodge County, Wisconsin, Buffington was educated in the public schools in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Faribault Military School in Faribault, Minnesota. Buffington was in the grocery, merchandise, and lumber businesses. He was also president of the Chippewa Valley Bank. Buffington lived in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Buffington served in the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1997 and 1899 and was a Republican. Buffington died in Eau Claire, Wisconsin from complications cause by appendicitis.〔'Wisconsin Blue Book 1899,' Biographical Sketch of Byron A.
